Dr. Katie Lewis was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. After graduating from Northview High School, she moved to Auburn, Alabama, where she attended and graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a BS in biology/pre-dentistry.
Following graduation, Dr. Lewis moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to start her journey toward a dental career. She attended the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry and graduated in May 2007.
Upon graduation from UAB, Dr. Lewis was selected to attend the orthodontic specialty program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
After completing her dental education, she graduated with a specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Masters of Science degree in the specialty of orthodontics.
Dr. Lewis and her wife Anna have four children, Elle, Metz, Lucy, and Huff…and a four-legged fur child named Ziggy, who works in the office too! Dr. Lewis cares about each and every patient, treating everyone the same as she would treat her own family.
Dothan Braces

Braces don’t need the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments do, so Dothan braces are a cost-effective option.
Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient appliances we offer. They’re made of metal or ceramic brackets attached to your teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.
These brackets, wires, and bands apply gentle pressure that gradually moves your teeth into better positions as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
Dothan Invisalign
Invisalign is a very popular alternative to traditional braces in Dothan. Instead of metal brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth gradually. They’re especially popular amongst teen and adult patients because of their more discreet appearance.
These aligners are made of plastic material and customized to fit over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for a new one every one to two weeks, as directed by Dr. Lewis.
The system works best if you follow recommended guidelines. Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If you don’t wear the aligners as directed by Dr. Lewis, it can affect your results and add more time to your treatment process.
