A Trusted Orthodontist in Andalusia
Dr. Lewis was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama. After graduating from Northview High School, she moved to Auburn, Alabama, where she attended and graduated cum laude from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Dentistry.
Following graduation, Dr. Lewis moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to start her journey toward a dental career. She attended the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Dentistry and graduated in May 2007.
After graduating from UAB, Dr. Lewis was chosen to attend the orthodontic specialty program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. After completing her dental education, she earned her specialty certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in the specialty of Orthodontics.
Andalusia Braces

Traditional metal braces are one of the most efficient appliances we offer. They’re made of metal or ceramic brackets attached to your teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.
These brackets, wires, and bands apply gentle pressure that gradually moves your teeth into better positions as long as you have regular adjustments with our doctors.
Andalusia Invisalign
Invisalign is a very popular alternative to traditional braces in Andalusia. Instead of metal brackets and bands, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to straighten your teeth gradually. They’re especially popular amongst teen and adult patients because of their more discreet appearance.
These aligners are made of plastic material and customized to fit over your teeth. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want, you’ll need to switch your invisible trays out for a new one every one to two weeks, as directed by Dr. Lewis.
The system works best if you follow recommended guidelines. Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. If you don’t wear the aligners as directed by Dr. Lewis, it can affect your results and add more time to your treatment process.
Invisalign is efficient at correcting the most common orthodontic issues. However, for more complex cases, Invisalign may not be the best option. Your free consultation at KBL Orthodontics in Andalusia will allow us to determine if you’re a good candidate for Invisalign.
